General Information

Orders and artwork can be sent to Goldstar (ASI 73295, PPAI 114031, UPIC GLDSTAR, SAGE 57190, Distributor Central, PPPC 990121) via email to Email subject line must include Customer Name and PO#. Artwork can be submitted separately with distributor’s PO number referenced. Goldstar is not responsible for typographical or handwritten errors on order.

Virtual Proofs

Virtual proof available at no charge by requesting on your PO (please allow up to 48 hours). Virtuals are limited to (1) design change or at the discretion of the customer service representative. Each proof thereafter is susceptible to a $15.00(c) per change.

Pre-production Samples

Pre-production proofs are required for all orders exceeding $4,000.00(c) USD at Goldstar’s expense. Customer requested pre-production proofs are charged at $30.00(c). Please contact Goldstar Customer Service for more information on pre-production samples.

Design Charges

Custom artwork created or modified outside of production set-up by our Art Department will be billed at $80.00(c) per hour. The customer will be contacted prior to order processing when additional charges apply.

Drop Shipments

Orders include up to (10) drop shipment locations. Minimum catalog quantity per product, per location is required. Drop shipments over (10) locations will incur a charge of $10.00(c) per location. For orders over catalog quantities, please call customer service for details.

Order Changes/ Cancellations

Our goal is to have orders to production within 24 hours of approval. Change requests or cancellations after production begins will be charged for any production costs incurred plus a cancellation fee of $80.00(c) when appropriate.

Turnaround Time

Production turnaround time begins AFTER graphics, credit, order entry, and proof approval (if requested). Turnaround time may vary with orders greater than catalog quantities, and will be quoted at the time of receipt of approvals. Production days are considered Monday through Friday excluding weekends and holidays.

  • Complete order including art and proof approval must be received by 11:00am PST. Proof approval may be waived with request on purchase order.
  • Catalog quantities only
  • Order must be clearly marked "24 or 48 hours" in both the PO and on the email subject line.
  • Distributor must have an established account in good standing or credit card for immediate payment
  • Limitations for special order requirements may apply
  • Not available with items that require PMS match, 2 color or clip imprints.

Rush Charge

A rush charge of $40.00(c) will be added if order is to be delivered in less than standard quoted lead times (on catalog quantities only). Free 24/48 hour rush service available on many products throughout the catalog. Please see catalog pages or for product details.


All products ship bulk to minimize shipping costs unless otherwise specified. Multiple carton shipments of same product may vary slightly from published quantities. However, total shipment will match packing list count. Custom inner cartons with exact count may be subject to charges. Please contact Customer Service for details.

Returns & Adjusment Policy

Distributors must contact Customer Service within 60 days of product receipt before any action for authorization. All returns requiring pickup will need a Return Authorization number issued by Customer Service to be valid. Defective items will be immediately replaced upon receipt of sample of item so proper corrective action and adjustments can be made. All adjustments must be made 60 days from ship date.

Shipping Terms

FREE shipping applies to orders of bulk writing instruments delivered ground to addresses in the United States and Canada only. For locations in the 48 contiguous United States with transit times greater than 3 days, your shipment will be upgraded to 3 days for FREE. (Catalog Quantities Only). Upgraded shipping does not apply to AK, HI, U.S. Territories or Canada.) Free ground shipping does not include writing instruments in a gift set or combined with other products, orders for less than catalog quantity, orders requiring multiple drop shipments or special packaging. Goldstar defines a writing instrument as a pen, pencil, crayon, marker, highlighter or other item intended for writing.

Orders typically ship UPS Ground for both U.S. and Canadian customers from our FOB points in Shelbyville, TN or San Diego, CA as indicated on our website. Goldstar reserves the right to change shipping carriers at our discretion. All orders requiring a specific carrier, special packaging or expedited terms such as Overnight, 2-day or 3-day will be billed at customer’s expense. Liability for goods passes to the customer upon delivery to carrier.

Orders for all non-writing instruments will be shipped best way and billed at the customer’s expense unless otherwise noted. We cover duty and brokerage fees on all orders that are shipped via any of our standard methods into Canada. Customer accounts are subject to duty and brokerage fees. Please contact us for more details regarding shipment times and delivery options.

Over/Under Policy

Due to final quality control, orders may be shipped plus or minus 5% of quantity ordered. Our factory is unable to ship "overruns" to distributor. However, reasonable additional quantities may be ordered as "product proofs" and charged accordingly.

Resale Policy
